Good to know
Do I need any experience?
No. Most of our members had never built a robot before joining. We teach everything, from using a drill to writing your first line of robot code.
Who can join?
Students in grades 9 to 12. We’re a private team rather than a school club, so you don’t need to attend a particular school. Mentors can be anyone with time to share: engineers, programmers, makers, teachers, parents.
Where are you based?
Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. We compete in the FIRST Robotics Canada Ontario district.
How much time does it take?
A couple of meetings a week in the fall. Build season in January and February is busier, and competitions are usually weekends.
Does it cost anything?
We work hard to keep it affordable through sponsors and fundraising. Talk to us and we’ll make it work.
